The Software and Multimedia Systems Technologies for Sustainability Research Centre (CITSEM) was created in 2011 with the aim of strengthening and promoting R&D&I and attracting research talent at the UPM South Campus.
It currently has two research groups recognised by the UPM: the Electronic and Microelectronic Design Group (GDEM) and the MultiMedia Applications and Acoustics Group (GAMMA).
More than 30 specialised researchers working on the development of immersive technologies, hyperspectral imaging and the adaptation of technology to specific population groups.
