We are a group of 7 Professors, 2 Head Scientists and a variable number of researchers carrying out their doctoral theses, coming under the Systems and Automated Engineering department at the HTS for Industrial Engineers and the HTS for Industrial Engineering and Design at the UPM, as well as the Higher Council for Scientific Research, our partner in the mixed Centre for Automated and Robotics Research (ARC), set up in 2009 by an agreement between the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).

Good Health and Well-Being
At the Robotics and Cybernetics research group (ROBCIB) we direct our research towards developing robots and their uses by working on our main lines of research:
- Outdoor robotics
- Robots for agriculture
- Robots for Security, Search and Rescue
- Aerial robotics
- Human Robot interfaces
- SoftRobots
- Biomedical engineering
- Micro-robotics
ROBCIB's members have been pioneers in research and development in the various areas of robotics in Spain. They have taken part in developing robots and their uses since 1982, in national and international projects with public and private funding.
- Autonomous robots
- Bioinspired robotics
- Field Robotics
- Modular robots
- Robotics
- Telerobotics
We develop land and aerial robots, handling technologies such as Guidance, Navigation and Control, Telerobotics, Man Machine Interfaces, Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing, applied to individual robots and multi-robot systems. ROBCIB also develops projects under the perspective of Cybernetics, using robotics technologies to address problems in the fields of Biology, Medicine and Psychology. To do so, it collaborates with researchers, professionals and leading companies in these fields, providing solutions in the academic and industrial sectors.
ROBCIB carries out its research work with a clear willingness to transfer technology, seeking participation in the projects it is involved with, along with other research groups and Spanish or international companies.
