Real time systems and telematic services architecture

Our group is currently taking part in the UPMSat-2 project, which is aimed at developing a micro-satellite that can be used as a technology demonstration platform in orbit. The group's work focusses on developing software for the flight and earth segments of the mission.

Other significant projects are HI-PARTES (PNI+D+i) and MultiPARTES (FP7), on the development of mixed criticality systems with partitioning techniques based on virtualisation.

The PRIPARE (FP7) project is geared towards drawing up a privacy and security by design methodology in telematic services and support for its introduction into industrial practice. FREIGHTURE, funded by Transfesa, is an Internet of Things (IoT) project for tracking, traceability and control of rolling stock and loads in rail freight transport.

Researchers in the group are taking part in the "Creation of an open middleware ecosystem" project, in collaboration with the Center for Open Middleware, which is a joint UPM and Santander group centre.
