The ICTG was created in 1994 with the mission of contributing to the research, knowledge and diffusion of these technologies, as well as their social, economic and political impact. In 2008, the Group expanded to include other professors whose lines of research were carried out in different fields relating to fixed, mobile or broadcasting radio communications, with particular emphasis on
Mobile communications
and
Propagation
of radio waves. This enabled the field for addressing challenges to be broadened and projects with a multi-disciplinary perspective.
The Group has a significant impact at national and international level, taking part in numerous forums and advising regulatory bodies and companies. It also has an important international presence, taking part in international projects funded by ESA, 5G-PPP and COST, with frequent contributions to the main journals and international conferences in the field of its work.
