A highlight of our different projects was taking part in developing the OSIRIS instrument for the ROSETTA mission, backed by the European Space Agency (ESA). OSIRIS is in charge of taking images of the asteroids and the comet's nucleus during the entire mission.
Another important project is UPMSat-2 UNION. This is a micro-satellite project led by IDR/UPM, designed as a logical follow-on from the previous UPM-SAT 1 project. The aim of the project is to design, construct and rate, and launch and operate in orbit, a platform based on the one already rated, including new technology adapted to the requirements of current launchers, usable as a technology demonstration vehicle in orbit, and for scientific and educational use.
