Flow cytometer with cell sorting system. It also has software to control the cytometer and for data acquisition and analysis.
The CBGP's Systems Biology and Biological Modelling (SysBioM) area
For sorting, counting and analysing bacterial cell populations and animal and plant cells marked with fluorochromes.
It is used for the study of specific cell populations and their subsequent molecular characterisation using 'omics' techniques.
The aim is to combine new imaging technologies and technologies for the specific sorting of plant cells and microorganisms with computational and genomic biology, in order to carry out comprehensive studies of biological systems and obtain accurate computational models that provide greater insight into important biological processes and make technical innovations possible.
