Platform for surgical simulation and training in medical techniques, aimed at students and healthcare professionals. It consists of the following: A platform for creating tasks based on virtual reality (non-immersive and immersive), which allows virtual reality training tasks, adapted to the students¿ training curricula, to be created, edited and shared. Platforms for training and clinical examinations with structured objectives: By way of example, it makes it possible to deliver first aid courses to medical students in a more immersive way than is possible with traditional courses. It has a physical manikin for carrying out CPR. It also makes it possible to interact with and navigate around different organs, in order to observe their internal structure or identify injuries. Intracranial ultrasound simulation of a premature baby: It allows participants to observe the result of an ultrasound scan of the cranium of a newborn baby and also to observe the different sections while navigating around the cranium. System for training in difficult airway management: Web-based, interactive simulation environments for training in intubation tasks. Laparoscopic surgery simulation platform: The equipment makes it possible to simulate a laparoscopic surgical intervention and, using video analysis, identify what phase of the operation the surgeon is in. It is also possible to carry out sensor realignment and create teaching videos with images from simulations.

The platform¿s different pieces of equipment allow medical students and healthcare professionals to train in fields ranging from first aid to laparoscopic surgery.
It is currently used for training in first aid, intracranial imaging by ultrasound in premature babies, and laparoscopic surgery. The infrastructure allows teaching content to be created from video recordings of surgical procedures, to which additional information is added to enrich and improve the training.
