Still water tank, 100 metres long, 3.8 metres wide and 2.2 metres deep. It consists of a unidirectional wave maker, for generating regular and irregular waves, and a towing trolley.

- Carrying out experimental programmes for projects with both competitive public financing (national and international) and private financing, under article 83 of the University Contracts Act. - Teaching work in the form of practicals for subjects on bachelor's and master¿s degree courses at the Naval Engineering Technical School. - Fundamental research in the area of hydrodynamics.
