Universal equipment for mechanical tensile, compression or bending tests, with a load capacity of between 5 and 1000 N. Adapted for carrying out in vitro immersion testing at a controlled temperature. Optical deformation methods are used so as not to affect the sample.
Biomaterials, biomechanics, biological materials.
Tensile, compression or bending tests are used to determine the mechanical properties of the materials. In the Matesan group, we have the knowledge and experience necessary to design the type of test and the test tubes best suited to the mechanical characterisation of a variety of biological materials or biomaterials, such as blood vessels, tendons, membranes and hydrogels.
Currently, this equipment is used for the mechanical characterisation of the biomaterials produced in our laboratory, as well as collaborations with research groups needing to carry out biomechanical characterisation procedures.
