Zeiss LSM 710 confocal microscope equipped with: 5 lasers (405, 488, 543, 594 and 633 nm), AOTF and AOBS systems and 2 GaAsP spectral detectors, on a motorised inverted Zeiss Axio Observer Z1 microscope with 5 objectives (from 10x to 63x) PLAN APO or PLAN NEO. Mercury-vapour fluorescent lamp and filter cubes for DAPI (445/50 nm), GFP (525/50) and Cy3 (605/70). AxioCam progressive-reading high-resolution photographic camera, CCD with a basic resolution of 1388 x 1040 = 1.4 megapixels and a spectral range of 350 nm-1000 nm. Workstation equipped with ZEN 2012 software to control the scanning, acquisition, display and exporting of images. The option to capture images as tiles, both individual images and stacked images (Z-stack).
Imaging, bioimaging, microscopy, biology, cell biology
Confocal fluorescence microscope that enables the inspection of cell cultures and biological tissues and various histochemical and immunocytochemical techniques. Using this equipment, it is possible to acquire images or image stacks arranged in series in up to 3 confocal detection channels (for reflection and fluorescence), with continuously and independently adjustable bandwidth and central wavelength for each channel.
It is currently used to observe and capture images of nervous tissue to be reconstructed in three dimensions. Images are also captured to study the distribution and co-localisation of different markers in such tissue.
