Presentation | From an economic point of view and taking into account an increase of the World's population, leading to an increase in the consumption of natural resources, it is worth to adopt saving measures in terms of energy, as consumption and costs of the different energies are increasing gradually. According to forecast of the International Energy Agency (IEA), to continue with the current policies would increase energy demand by 50% in 2013, resulting in a greater increase of greenhouse gas emissions. In this scenario, about half of the necessary investment should be used to meet the energy demand. Therefore, it is essential objective of the Master in Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Industry and Transport, the training of specialized graduates in the field of Energy Efficiency. The student graduated in this Master, will be competent in project and design activities from engineering and architecture, which will allow him the access to organization, management and leadership jobs in the area of Energy Efficiency. The Master Program presents shared learning processes involving lecturers from several Centres of the Technical University of Madrid. The Centres to which the qualification is attached are:
The Master provides insights into the general principles of Energy Efficiency applied to the areas of Building, Industry and Transport, as well as the most cutting edge training techniques for the optimization and improvement of energy systems. It will provide learning methodologies, assessment and decision-making tools to the students when undertaking such measures of improvement. The students' capacities for solving problems in a variety of Energy Efficiency environments and contexts, generally multidisciplinary, will also be increased. The Master in energy Efficiency in Buildings, Industry and Transport consists of 90 ECTS and is divided into three modules:
