Presentation | The PhD program in Software, Systems and Computing (PSSC) covers the scientific and technological bases of information systems development as well as the relation and application of computer systems in the resolution of problems in other sciences and engineering. The PhD in Software, Systems and Computing targets university degree holders, preferably from a high level (master's degree, graduates, engineers or equivalent title) and informatics-related studies. This PhD program has emerged as a fusion between the PhD program in Software and Systems and the PhD program in Advanced Computing for Science and Engineering. They are PhD programs of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and both of them have been distinguished with the Mention to Excellence. This new program complies with current legislation (Royal Decree 99/2011 and the Royal Decree 534/2013 which modifies it) and will begin to take place in 2014.
