Internships for US and Canadian students at UPM
This research program at UPM offers global exchange opportunities for international students from US and Canada to:
- Research at UPM research laboratories and joint research institutes with other institutions
- Acquire hands-on research and development skills
- Learn how research is conducted internationally
- Improve their employability
- Experience the Spanish way of life through immersion
- Interact in a multicultural environment
This program is designed to provide academic exchange students with research experience at laboratories based at Spain’s leading research university. Internships are activities that are designed for training purposes and are equivalent to any other course. Students commit for a stay of from 2 to 12 months depending on the chosen option: two-semester, semester or summer internship at UPM laboratories (fall or spring semester or summer (mid-May to end-July). Students can pursue their internship entirely in English.
Program admission is dependent on a UPM professor being willing to supervise the applicant during their research stay.
